Off to the bath
Now in autumn and winter, I find it really nice to get into the warm tub when I come back from a long walk, blown through and frozen.
With these homemade bubbling bath bombs, it’s even more relaxing.
Ingredients and tools for approx. 5 pieces:
- 250 g baking soda
- 125 g citric acid
- 60 g potato starch
- 60 g Kokos oil
- Essential oils (necessarily in organic quality)
- optional: food colouring
- optional: decoration (tea, flowers, spices, etc.)
- Ball moulds made of stainless steel (no aluminium!)*.
Preparation:
Mix the baking soda, citric acid and potato starch well. If flowers or something else are to be used for the look and as decoration, these can now be mixed in here.
Heat the coconut oil until it is liquid (I always put it on the heater for this) and add the essential oil.
Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, knead carefully and thoroughly. Now shape into balls. I use stainless steel moulds for this, but you can also shape the balls with your hands.
Now place in the fridge for a few hours or leave to dry at room temperature for about 5 days.
* The moulds are available here
Good success 🙂

We were lucky with the weather on both days, even though it was a bit wetter in Schleswig, but the forest holds most of the drizzle.
