Workshop February 23

Workshop February 23

Making beautiful things from nature …

26th February 2023

… and process valuable raw materials …

In the morning around 9am a dear participant picked me up with all the precious oils, herbs and essences and we drove to the agreed meeting point.

By the time we had unloaded and set up everything, the other participants were gradually arriving.

From my side it was a bit chaotic this time, as I forgot one or the other ingredient, something like that has never happened to me before, but with a little improvisation it was manageable 🙂

The participants were all totally lovely and very interesting people. It was really fun.

For dinner, there was a small buffet that I had prepared the night before:

– Apple curd cake
– homemade party buns
– Wild garlic and herb butter
– various spreads
– Fruits

In a cosy atmosphere we made all kinds of beautiful things, for example:

  • Face creams
  • Ointments
  • Massage oils
  • Body butter
  • Anti-mosquito bars
  • Lip balms
  • Inhalation pens
  • Cold balm

The recipes for these could also be found in my little folder that each participant had received.

At the end, each participant received a few of the first wild garlic plants, fresh from the forest.

I would like to thank my participants very much and I am already looking forward to the next workshop on 25 June 2023 (herbal hike with workshop: culinary and healing) ♥

Of course, I also brought along a few photos:

Processing valuable raw materials …

That’s a thing.
I’m editing my website again and see that I haven’t written a blog about this beautiful natural cosmetics workshop….
… this has never happened to me before.

Well, it is what it is.

In the morning around 9 o’clock a friend picked me up with all the precious oils, herbs and essences and we drove to the agreed meeting point.

By the time we had unloaded and set up everything, my participants were gradually arriving.

Unfortunately, two of the participants did not show up without prior notice and despite binding registration, and we waited in vain. Something like that is really annoying – for everyone involved.

As this was not the first time, my workshops will only be bookable against prepayment for this reason!

Nevertheless, it turned out to be a very nice workshop and we made all kinds of beautiful things in a cosy atmosphere, for example:

  • Ointments
  • Massage oils
  • Body butter
  • Anti-mosquito bars
  • Lip balm
  • Face creams
  • Cold balm
  • and much more

The recipes for these could also be found in my little folder that each participant had received.

For the small hunger in between, there was fresh, homemade bread with various spreads and herb curd and homemade apple-pear-chocolate-cinnamon cake.

I would like to thank my participants very much and I am already looking forward to the next workshop on 26 February 2023 ♥

Herbal workshop

23.04.2022, Volkshochschule Kropp

My first herb walk followed by a workshop.

There were eleven participants for the hike and five interesting personalities for the workshop.

Almost everything didn’t really go as planned, but it was still quite good.
Since we didn’t really find much, especially not what we were looking for, we just made the best of it and conjured up herb vinegar, herb oil and pesto in the kitchen.

In search of the non-existent wild leek, we found “Japanese knotweed” and dared an experiment. It is supposed to taste like asparagus when cooked. Hmm well, not really 🙂

In the end, a very nice participant drove me home with all my “stuff” and afterwards I fetched my bike and did a few things in town.

My folder and the homemade wild garlic salts also went down well.
